About Mrs. Vincent
Mrs. Vincent has been teaching at Bethany Christian Academy since September of 1996. She graduated from Baker
University in Kansas in 1981 with her BA in Elementary Education, a Minor in Mathematics, and was credentialed K-8. Her first teaching position was with Deerfield
Elementary School in January of 1982, teaching as a paraprofessional with 4th Grade students. In 1988, Mrs. Vincent taught Released Time Christian
Education bible classes to 4th and 5th grade students in her home city of Orange, CA. In 1991, she moved on to Westminster Christian School, teaching 4th,
5th, 6th, and 8th grade.
In September of 1996, she was hired on at BCA to teach 1st Grade, moving the very next year to 4th Grade, and in 2000 into the Discovery Center.
Over the course of years, Mrs. Vincent has completed all 3 levels of NILD Educational Therapy Training courses, as well as Search &
Teach and Woodcock-Johnson Achievement Testing III and IV courses. She received her licensure and
certification to work with and assess Kindergarten to adults.
In the summer of 2012, Mrs. Vincent took the next step to become professionally certified (P.C.E.T. - Professionally Certified Educational Therapist)
through NILD, gaining certification in Rx for Discovery Reading and G.E.T., (Group Educational Therapy). In the spring of
2015, Rx for Discovery Math was then added to this list!
Mrs. Vincent's life's calling is to work with students who are challenged to learn in the classroom. She is dedicated to these students and their families. Her deepest desire is
to see each student come to a saving knowledge of Christ and to depend upon God through each and every struggle they face.
